Harrell makes superb equipment.I have one of his turret presses that consistently gives me less than. With a ball powder (Win 231, HP-38, H-332 or H-380) the Dillon units are just about as good.

When compared to the two Dillon measures that are a part of my Dillon 550B's, the Harrell is considerably better, especially with notoriously difficult to measure powders like Unique. Like anything else involved in shooting, uniformity is the key.to getting consistent results. I use a 25 yr old RCBS Uniflow with both the pistol and rifle micrometer drop assemblies when loading on my single station press, and get just about as much uniformity as my son does with the Herrell. Frankly, even with the small charges associated with handgun powders, I've never felt the need for the ultimate in powder charge ating depth, amount and type of crimp, bullet diameter and case uniformity all are more important. It's good to 1/10 th of a grain, with H-4895 or 4064 and better with anything that's a ball type. Son #1 has one that he's used for ten years or so in Hi-Power competition with the M-1A.
